ZAMBONI ZAC

Dad and Zach - Maintenance Crew - 2012

I want to play big boy hockey
But I’m much too little to play
I put on my skates and get on the ice
I’m the maintenance crew today

I pretend I’m driving the Zamboni
Around and ‘round the rink
Clearing all the pretty snow
Too make it smooth I think

My hands are on the steering wheel
The big engine screams and roars
The seat is tickling my bottom
As it rumbles across the floor

Around and ‘round the ice I go
My Mommy cheers me on
Everybody loves the Zamboni
Until all the snow is gone

So now I’ll watch my brother
Play hockey upon our rink
As Mommy hugs me warmly
Giving me hot chocolate to drink

I’d like to ride the Zamboni
When I grow up some day
Everyone would cheer me on
Hurray!! Hurray!! they'd say.

The End

TASMANIA SAYS

Meow…it’s Tasmania here
And I have something to say
Thank you dearest friend
For praying for me today

You kept me warm
Inside your big heart
And because of this
We’re never apart

This love we found
Is precious to me
I am so grateful
For everything, see?

Thank you for rubbing
Behind my big ears
And stroking my belly
Comforting my fears

I will find you again
My beautiful friend
Someday, somewhere
It’s never the end

POPPY SAYS

I am a good dog
I just have my flaws
I get so excited
I dance on my paws

Sometimes I’m loud
It’s because I am proud
My humans are great
And this is my fate!

Hug me and praise me
Lavish me with love
And I will reward you
With the best doggie hug

Cuddle me close
Let’s play every day
And I will surely
Make you say…awe….

I LOVE YOU POPPY

KNOCK KNOCK

Cuddlebugz Photography - Kitchener, Ontario

Knock knock knockin’ at the old front door
One two three – Lana knocks some more
Little Lana’s knocking, but nobody’s home
Except for a spider running across the stones

The little spider says in her little sweet way
“Would you like to come inside to play?”
Little Lana looked around and said “who me?”
And the little spider nodded and said “yes please”

So the two of them played and talked all day
Weaving their stories, going every which way
They went to the moon on the spider’s web
Fell down laughing on the imaginary bed

They danced on a dew drop and dined on a rose
Played hide n’ seek where the tall grasses grow
But when the twinkling stars came out to play
Little Lana and the spider had to call it a day.

So Little Lana called her mom on the phone
And said “Mommy, I would like to come home”
Now sweet Little Lana is snuggled  in her bed
Dreaming of the moon and a spider’s web.
